Easter Sugar Cookies

Ingredients:

- 2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour

- 1 teaspoon baking soda

- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder

- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened

- 1 1/2 cups white sugar

- 1 egg

- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

- Colored sugar or icing for decorating

Instructions:

1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.

2. In a small bowl, mix together the flour, baking soda, and baking powder. Set aside.

3. In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until smooth. Beat in the egg and vanilla.

4. Gradually blend in the dry ingredients until fully incorporated.

5. Roll dough into small balls and place them on the prepared baking sheets, leaving some space between each cookie.

6. Flatten each ball with the bottom of a glass dipped in colored sugar or icing, to create colorful patterns.

7. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes in the preheated oven, or until golden. Let cool on wire racks.
